Cuarto Dorado de la Alhambra (Granada)
sketchfab
A small doorway with a horseshoe arch, carefully positioned to allow only one person at a time and control the flow of people between rooms, leads into the patio where Sultan XIV received his subjects in the Alhambra. To the north of the patio, beyond the distinctive three-arched pórtico lies the Golden Room, whose original decoration is due to Muhammad V. It was named after its beautiful wooden ceiling, repainted and decorated, like the entire room, during the time of the Catholic Kings, as evidenced by their coats of arms, yoke, arrows, and central window with a parteluz and Mudéjar capital. This hall was likely used by administrators and secretaries from the Muslim court to record and enforce Sultan's sentences.
