CTR Kart - Crash Bandicoot
cults3d
I crafted this kart with 3D printing in mind, ensuring every component fits together seamlessly without requiring screws except for the base plate and front/rear panels. Even the wheels simply clip into place and spin smoothly once installed. I added screws for extra reinforcement, but I believe it should also work if you opt for glue instead. The build process is straightforward, with one crucial detail: after attaching both panels to the base plate using screws or glue, you must install the tubing before adding the wheels and pedals. This step cannot be skipped. I relied on super glue to secure most of the parts together and olive oil to lubricate the wheels and steering wheel for smooth operation. To ensure a perfect fit, I included two test files for the steering wheel and axle/wheel assembly. Print these first to verify that the tolerances work well for your printer. The kart is designed specifically for the Ender 3, requiring you to print the base plate and tubing at a 45° angle. I've also tailored the tolerances accordingly, hoping they will function as intended for your prints. You'll find two sets of wheels included: a flat version that's easier to print and another with a slightly protruding rim. Feel free to experiment with different color schemes and post your creations for me to see!
