Cthulhu Mask
thingiverse
BEHOLD! The Ancient One has revealed itself to me in a dream, foreshadowed by #CostumeChallenge, and driven me to the brink of madness. After months of desperation, I delved into ancient texts and employed some Zbrush wizardry. I crafted the face of unyielding terror, a gaze that defies sanity, and a goatee of grotesque tentacles - fashioned from Tiger store-bought tentacle-fingers. October 25: The dreams continue to haunt me. They've grown increasingly ominous each day. Now, I can clearly envision the Ancient's countenance (like a clear coat), and its gaze is even pursuing me in the darkness! Print Settings Printer: Custom CoreXY Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.3 Infill: 10 Notes: This creation demands to be printed in two halves, mirrored, then assembled with glue. If positioned correctly, the halves should weigh approximately 140 grams, utilizing the minimum necessary support. The mask models should stand at 210mm tall within your printing software. Post-Printing Secure the elastic band to the mask. There's an orifice below the eyeball due to a design flaw, but fortunately (Cthulhu's plans are incomprehensible), it served a purpose. Pass a 20mm fabric elastic band through this opening and staple a small loop. Simply pull the band, and it will conceal itself beneath the eye. Update: Clear Coating and Glowing Eyes I've discovered a reliable partner in my city - https://www.fotoluminiscente.es - which advised the most effective method to animate the Master's gaze (Base, Paint, and Coat!). No innocent bystanders were harmed; it was a missed opportunity! Additionally, I applied acrylic coating to the other mask components to give him an eerie R'Lyeh sea bath. How I Designed This Get Your Head 3D Scanned Yes, I employed a Kinect sensor and free software to digitize my head. Use Zbrush magic to design the mask on your face! Umm... It's a form of dark art!
