I'm intrigued by the remix challenge, but the collection itself failed to spark inspiration within me. Yes, I actually took the time to read the rules and noticed that you had to remix a specific item from the provided collection. As I continued browsing through the options, my gaze landed on the hair clip, which eerily reminded me of Cthulhu - so I decided to roll with it. The hair clip's design bears an uncanny resemblance to extra tentacles. The rules weren't crystal clear regarding whether additional sources could be utilized as well, but I chose to work with the provided hair ornaments and incorporated the Cthulhu cult token, which wasn't part of the original remix challenge collection. I've been dedicating time to learning MeshMixer lately, so I decided to utilize it for assembling the various parts. Edit: Apparently, I still had some lessons to learn about MeshMixer, particularly when it comes to visually aligning the back surfaces - and unfortunately, it didn't quite work as intended. If you encounter any issues with printing, be sure to check out the remix that addresses those problems: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2345705 Print Settings: Printer: Monoprice Maker Ultimate Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 20% Notes: I opted to print with only two shells, as this allowed me to avoid gaps in the thinner parts of the hair clip. I also discovered that the stock BuildTak and Hatchbox wood PLA filament don't match up well. The process of releasing the print from the platform was a bit of a struggle - it almost pulled the BuildTak off entirely. It's likely an issue with the wood filament, as normal PLA has worked seamlessly in the past.
