In my first attempt, I replicated the original design by creating a mini model with no interior fill. Predictably, it had gaps on top but was otherwise satisfactory. To fix this, I filled the voids using an ABS/acetone mixture. Later, I shared images of two large prints - one unaltered and the other smoothed out. For the finishing touch, I sprayed a metallic Krylon coating on both.
