CTC Y axis guide bar brackets

CTC Y axis guide bar brackets

thingiverse

This is a remix and update of a set of Y axis brackets I've created, which includes an additional set for the outside of the case to reinforce screw holes after I accidentally over-tightened one of the screws, causing it to penetrate almost through the plywood housing. To accommodate plexi windows and doors, I had to angle the outer parts to ensure clearance when the door is closed. The inside brackets feature recessed hex nut holes for nyloc nuts, while the outside brackets are designed with recessed bolt head receptacles. Print Settings: Printer: ctc Rep Dual Sailfish Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 25 - 50% Notes: I printed these in ABS at 25% infill, but 50% may have been a better choice. Two shells were used to add strength to the holes; however, if you're prone to over-tightening, consider using three shells for added security.
