CTC Universal Extruder Carriage
thingiverse
I remixed this design to utilize it on my CTC (Pursa Clone) with ease, taking advantage of its ability to accommodate carriage bolts and nuts. This version also allows for flexibility in the Y Axis direction, a feature that I particularly appreciate. For instance, if the stop is positioned on the left side of the CTC, I can simply flip this design over to achieve the desired alignment. One notable improvement of this design over others is its use of two long rail slides instead of four small ones, which not only reduces complexity but also enhances overall stability. After printing and testing this design on my printer, I noticed a significant reduction in print variations, which was a major concern for me. It's worth noting that while this design addresses many issues, I still recommend using belt springs to minimize backlash and ensure smooth operation.
