After a month of tweaking and printing, it's time to take this bot to the next level. I never realized just how far off my bench was until I designed, printed, and fitted these adjustable feet. The inspiration for them came from (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:104796), which featured a set of adjustable feet that fit perfectly into the unusual bottom corners of my CTC Replicator Dual. Due to the quirky design or cheap production of the case, not a single corner is the same as another. The front left and rear right should be identical, just like the front right and rear left, but on my bot, they aren't. To save hours of design work over 1mm differences, I made one set for both front and rear, and it was worth it. Print Settings Printer: CTC Rep Dual Sailfished Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.20 Infill: 25-50 Notes: I printed these with ABS at 25% infill, using two shells, as they seemed strong enough to hold up to my bot's weight during testing. Rafts are not necessary unless you print them, but supports are a must. Post-Printing I used four M6 45mm nuts and bolts from my local hardware store. You can either tap the holes with an M6x1mm pitch tap or insert the bolt through the round foot and tighten the nut down, using the assembled part to thread through the case part of the foot. This will make it very tight and require a lot of pressure to turn around, but it also means they won't adjust on their own as you use the machine. If you tap the holes, you can use the nut to lock them in place against the case part of the foot. I partially tapped the hole three-quarters of the way through and then screwed the bottom part in, using it to cut the last bit of the thread. Once fitted to the case and you're happy with them, you can screw them to the housing with 2.5 x 5mm screws so they don't come loose if you need to move your bot.
