It's comprised of several different parts that can be easily modified if anyone wants to give it a try. The design isn't overly complex, but rather straightforward. The screw thread and locking ring are fixed in size for the CTC Replicator Dual 3D Printer spool holes. Just received a different-sized spool of ABS with a 29mm hole in the middle, which didn't fit any of my existing spool holders, so a redesign was necessary. The new spool holders require only one locking ring that's fitted from inside the printer housing. This contrasts with the original spool holders that come with the printer, which need three locking rings and must be unscrewed every time you change filament – an annoying process I've done often.
