CTC Prusa i3 Pro B - E3D V6 Mount (Version 2)

thingiverse

I upgraded my project on Thingiverse, a website where users share their 3D printing creations. The updated design is an E3D V6 mount specifically tailored for the CTC Prusa i3 Pro B 3D printer. This upgrade fits seamlessly onto the regular x-rail plate and includes several key components: - A dedicated holder for the E3D V6 hotend, printed with support material for added structural integrity - A sensor holder designed to accommodate the LJ18A3-8-Z/BX sensor type - Two types of fan ducts: a double air outlet and a single air outlet, both suitable for 50mm fans (in my case, an old CPU fan was repurposed). These components were also printed with support material. - A cable management system that keeps wires organized To assemble this upgrade, you'll need M3 screws in various sizes—20, 25, and 30mm—as well as washers and nuts. The cable manager is particularly useful if you're planning to switch hotends frequently, such as using an ATX plug for easy replacement (refer to the photo). This setup prevents excessive movement of the plug during printing operations, ensuring a smoother process. Currently, I'm using two different hotends: one with PTFE inlay for PLA prints and another full metal hotend optimized for ABS materials.
