The original extruder of my CTC Prusa i3 (eBay 01/2018) worked flawlessly with the first 500 grams of filament before rapidly deteriorating into a cheese grater. I had in stock a MK8 metal extruder for the right side and a complete MK8 GeeeTECH set with a 0.3mm nozzle. So I meticulously reworked all of this page, https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2353994, to: - Upgrade the fan height for the nozzle. (B - support) - Add a cable cover that can also cool the extruder motor. (A-Case) - Redesign the fan of the nozzle to be compatible with honeycomb grids. (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2219530) FYI, all 3mm hardware was included with the printer. I utilized rilsan falls as pegs to avoid using nuts. ==================================================== The original extruder of my CTC Prusa i3 (eBay 01/2018) functioned perfectly with the initial 500 grams of filament before becoming a cheese grater.
