CTC/Makerbot/Flashforge extruder - flexible filament upgrade
thingiverse
Here is a redesigned extruder block with smaller drive gear hole (11.8 mm instead of 13 mm), allowing for longer filament support between the drive gear and hot end so flexible filament won't get stuck in between. As I own a Makerbot Replicator 1 dual clone CTC, it should also work for Makerbot Replicator 1 and FlashForge printers. Update April 1st, 2015: I changed hole diameter to 11.8 mm, so you don't need to sand it down, moved the filament hole a bit, and made a bigger diameter hole on the bottom so it doesn't touch the gear fastening screw Update March 31st, 2016: Since there were no changes for a long time, I'm removing the WIP marker from this thing Update June 26th, 2015: Now you have two files available, one for left extruder and another one for right extruder Printer settings: CTC - Makerbot 1 dual clone Notes: Best printed in ABS or Nylon, since even the cold end of the extrude can get quite hot on some printers with certain materials.
