CTC I3 PRO B MINIMALISTIC COOLING DUCT
thingiverse
I'm searching for an efficient cooling duct for my affordable i3 clone. I have a fondness for sleek designs, so I decided to create one myself. The assembly process was straightforward and the footprint is minimal. The press-fit connection works well with the CTC i3 pro b extruder flange. Although it might not provide as much airflow as larger ducts, it functions adequately. At least, it looks great! To build this cooling duct, you'll need: - A 40mm fan, preferably one with PWM control for optimal performance. I had to settle for a two-pin standard model, so mine is always on and cannot be controlled by gcode. - Four 15mm M3 bolts and matching nuts (the number may vary depending on the fan's thickness). - A rubber band as a sealant between the duct and the fan (optional). Note: After some time, the press-fit connection became loose, so I had to apply a small amount of glue to secure it.
