Prusa Type Radial Fan Holder for MK10 Extruder. No Extra Hardware Required. This holder secures the extruder fan in place without needing additional hardware such as bolts or nuts. The chassis is fastened to the extruder using the existing fan bolt, and a 10mm nylon pipe must be removed. Additional support comes from the edge of the aluminum extruder bracket. The Nozzle Is Its Own Unit. Different Nozzles Can Be Used. The nozzle operates independently and can be easily swapped out for different designs. This design allows users to experiment with various nozzles without needing to modify their printer's hardware. Connecting The Fan To The PWM Connector. To connect the fan, use the PWM connector located next to the three fan ports. A two-wire fan will work, but a three-pin connector is recommended. You can find suitable connectors on websites like Thingiverse under the ID number 2248965. Three-Dimensional Nozzle Provides Powerful Cooling. The addition of a three-directional nozzle provides comprehensive cooling for objects being printed. However, this increased airflow also requires additional insulation to prevent overheating issues. If you experience thermal runaway or inadequate nozzle temperature during high-power fan operation, cover your heat block with extra layers of kapton tape and aluminum foil. This will ensure even PLA nozzles won't melt due to excessive heat.
