CTC i3 e3D mount (with SN04)
thingiverse
I remixed JackWaterfall's very neat solution to make it work on my CTC i3 clone printer. However, I encountered a few issues with this version that required some adjustments. The mounting holes did not align properly with the existing mount points, which made installation challenging. The SN04 proximity sensor mount also had two major issues: it didn't allow enough adjustment for the sensor to trigger, and it hit the RHS Z-Axis on full movement. To resolve these problems, I remixed the mount to create a non-SN04 version that worked seamlessly with my printer. Here are the key changes I made: * To avoid screwing the screws into the main body of the 'neck' of the e3D mount, I created two new holes in the CTC back plate and modified the e3D mount for a better compromise. * The SN04 sensor now has more than enough adjustment with nut slots on the rear to hold the mount screws in place but still allow for fine-tuning. * The sensor position was moved across to the left to get it closer to the nozzle and allow more X-axis travel. I also removed the front plate-mounted fan arm because it made adjusting the sensor difficult. Now, I can remove (or loosen and rotate out of the way) the fan with just one screw. To complete my modifications, I included a remix of HighWattage's "Updated Fan Duct" with the CTC logo instead of the original text.
