CTC/Geeetech i3 Pro B laser module X carriage mount
thingiverse
I recently purchased a high-powered blue diode laser that will be used in a new laser engraver I am building from scratch. This laser is a replica of the [Eleksmaker 445nm 2500mW Blue Laser Module with PWM](https://amzn.to/2X1YqQU), which I found online at an affiliate link. Before starting work on the frame, I wanted to put this laser through its paces. So, my trusty CTC i3 Pro B came to the rescue. To prepare for mounting the laser directly to the X carriage of my 3D printer, I made some modifications to the original X carriage STL file. I added four holes that will accept M3 screws, making it easy to attach the laser without needing any extra brackets or adding unnecessary weight. The original extruder bracket holes are still intact, so this modified version is functionally identical to the original. However, now you have the option of attaching a high-powered blue diode laser as well. There should be enough clearance underneath the LM8LUU bearings for standard 8mm M3 bolts to fit comfortably, but I recommend having some low-profile round head bolts on hand in case of any issues.
