CTC E3d Chimera/Cyclops hotend mount - bowden
thingiverse
This is my method for installing the e3d Chimera hotend onto the original CTC (Replicator 1 clone) XY carriage. This design enables you to quickly assemble or disassemble the hotend if any issues arise or maintenance is necessary. From a hardware standpoint, you will require some M3 screws to connect printed components and 2-3 washers to adjust the distance from the X endstop. I am utilizing an older version of this design and it has functioned well for me over the last month. In the near future, I plan to add a special fan duct to this setup (the initial sketch is included in the rsdoc file). In my configuration, I used a China clone of the e3d Chimera hotend. Due to this, I had to drill through the bowder tube holder to insert the Bowden tube into the chimera block. Without doing so, it was nearly impossible to print with this setup.
