CTC 3D Printer Oiler
thingiverse
I built this oiler to work like all other Filament Oilers, applying oil directly to the filament near its spool. This meant when I moved the filament spool from my CTC printer to my Prusa, I'd often have excess oil left on unused filament, making a mess when unloading it. To avoid putting oiled filament into my Prusa printer, I decided to design this oiler differently. This oiler was designed specifically for use with villamany's PTFE tube and cable management system (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:364704). As a result, the filament gets oiled right before entering the feeder and hot end of my Prusa printer. I included a zip tie at the top for added security, even though it's not strictly necessary since the PTFE tube remains inside. I figured extra precautions never hurt anyone, even if my 3D modeling skills are still developing.
