Ctc 3D printer foot
thingiverse
Having broken a foot on my CTC printer several months ago, I simply used a drop of superglue to fix it, but recently it broke again. So I superglued it back together, but the glue bond was very weak and it ended up breaking within a day of being repaired. I then left the broken foot on the printer, but it kept sliding around while the printer was printing. I eventually had enough of the foot moving around and couldn't find an original file anywhere, so I made a replacement using an original foot as a reference. Printing two of each file for a full set, the name of the foot will tell you where it will fit. Also, I made the area that broke on the original 1mm thicker for a bit more strength and the tolerances are better, so the feet fit better. The other three feet weren't exactly the best either, as they had clearly been printed using a raft, which meant the bottoms weren't very flat, causing the printer to rock on opposite corners slightly and making a rather annoying noise. Print Settings Printer: CTC Bizer Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 30% Notes: Printed in PLA at 220C with 50C bed Custom Section UPDATE:1 I installed an RGB LED strip on the printer to illuminate the build area, but the mighty board on the CTC does not have the circuitry to power/control an LED strip. So I bought a cheap 5m strip with a remote and controller. I modified my front left foot design so that there is now a holder for the remote. However, the remote is a very tight fit, so I made one with slightly better tolerance but haven't tested yet.
