CTC 3D Printer DTI Mounting Beam
thingiverse
On my 3D printers, I prefer running with a very level bed. However, mounting various other designs just didn't fit the CTC Makerbot Clone, so I came up with one that works perfectly. Trying to attach a DTI external to the extruders wasn't feasible for me. Therefore, replacing the extruder heads with a beam is the best way to go. The DTI mount fits tightly on the 8mm tube of the DTI, but I've included two clamping holes in case you need them. Fortunately, the DTI was secure enough that I didn't have to use them. I designed this so people can enjoy it. Incidentally, there's a wing on the side of the mounting beam for operating the X-axis microswitch if you want to measure at a specific position.
