It's definitely possible to process data from CSV files into PNGs for video animation/overlay via OpenSCAD. Check out this hack at https://gist.github.com/Ja.../163a95cc631b5b89d305efed40d7e546. It's a god awful hack, especially since it's done in the Windows command line. However, if you can do it on Windows, you can definitely do it on *nix. The uses are pretty cool too - overlaying measurements on a video was what sparked this idea, but it could also be used to render physical animations of collected data, or with a tweak, make STL or DXF files from lists of names, such as Laser cut or 3D printed name badges.
