The CST L-Trac trackball offers unparalleled customization options thanks to its two auxiliary button ports. Enthusiasts have designed foot-controlled switches specifically for the CST, but some prefer mounting the switch within easy reach of their trackball-hand. I stumbled upon the idea from reddit user ripster55 who cleverly used Cherry MX-style keyboard switches as aux buttons, as showcased in this image: http://imgur.com/a/bhicE The custom housing I designed perfectly matches the CST L-Trac's curves and positions the switch comfortably within reach of the right-hand thumb. This was my third iteration, allowing for two switches to be installed with enlarged wiring ports for doubling up the wiring. The internal bracing may seem unnecessary, but it adds a reassuring sense of solidity without compromising flexibility or feel.
