Crystal Clover
thingiverse
I thought the Shamrock Crystal by GarrettsArtsNWhatNots was a fantastic concept, but it proved to be extremely fragile when I attempted to remove it from the print bed. I also envisioned printing it in green PETG, which only added to my frustration of having to attach the stem to the entire piece with glue. Additionally, I dreaded the thought of gluing all the separate parts together. Inspired by my initial remix, I decided to take another shot at it. I took the original Gem Heart design from Morpheus09 and merged it with the stem from GarrettsArtsNWhatNots. Using MeshMixer, I created a larger join point, enlarged the stem, and sculpted the new components before fusing everything together seamlessly. I'm thoroughly pleased with my test print, which is sure to make a fantastic addition to our St. Patty's day celebration.
