What do you get when Bitcoin meets 3D printing? ## A Plastic Bitcoin Wallet They say owning a coin without the private key is like holding nothing. So, what happens if you store your private key in plastic? It's safer than paper but more insecure than steel. This wallet can hold a maximum of 16 characters per line and 64 characters total. You can use it to store: * Private Key WIF (51 base58 characters starting with '5') * Private Key Hexadecimal Format (64 characters [0-9A-F]) * Private Key BIP38 Format (58 base58 characters starting with '6P') Check out the 3D design on Thingiverse. To test it, I'm holding some Bitcoin: **1FVjCBrdA2rKZKq6jyAZQQ12erZxHk9UXd**. Feel free to donate! ## For the Paranoid This 3D print also includes a 1d16 hex die. By rolling it 64 times and writing down the values, you'll generate a Bitcoin private key in hexadecimal format. ## Test Prints I'm currently printing this on Yellow PLA with a layer height of 200 microns. The final print measures 18cm x 10.4cm x 1.13cm. Once I get it, I'll post photos. ## Important Notes * If you lose coins because of this wallet, don't blame anyone else. * This is an alternative to CryptoSteel. * I strongly advise against using this over CryptoSteel.
