Cryptocurrency-seed break card vault
thingiverse
Made a simple break-card to safely store your crypto-wallet's 12/24 word seed. The design is inspired by the "launch code verification break cards" supposedly used in nuclear launch bunkers, known for their high-security features. This break-card is designed to fit perfectly with the empty spreadsheet card that comes with the Ledger Nano S hardware wallet. Instructions: Wrap the card you plan to insert inside in aluminum foil. This will prevent anyone from using a light source to scan it and also make it extremely difficult to obtain the inside information using radiation or other material-penetrating techniques. Use a brim on your print to make it stand up, and print until there are only a couple of layers left before sealing (around layer 600 with 200µm print layers). Then pause the print, insert the card, and let the print finish. Keep in mind that this print will not prevent anyone from stealing the card itself. So, it should be placed somewhere safe and hidden. What this break-card does is ensure you better know if someone has seen the seed, and if they have, you'll know it's been tampered with and should be disposed of. Other: Enjoying this design? If so, I'm very grateful for any donations. Ethereum address: 0xc6418f76BE9B837b35Fab16F89Ea97954E9b967E Bitcoin address: 3843LL2Qkr3eQSriQCEH2zfrq6hioxvGpa
