Cryptex with user customizable codes

This is a puzzle box I crafted specifically to dispense lottery tickets as gifts, but its potential uses are endless. It can be disassembled and reconfigured using letters to hold any item that fits inside. I send them out with the Da Vinci Code-inspired code in place and give subtle hints for the recipient to decipher the solution. All details were printed at a low resolution, then lightly sanded on the assembled mechanisms for smooth functioning. I also included an alternative option: printing with flat ends, knowing some individuals might struggle with the rounded version.
