Cryptex (Iron Man)

Hello. I was searching for a cryptex that's stylish and has a customizable password. Unfortunately, I couldn't find one I liked, so I designed one myself using Autodesk Inventor 2016 - the best 3D modeling software in my opinion. This cryptex is designed to have the password "IronMan." You can swap out the letters and create your own password, but I haven't tried it yet. If you want different letters, like "B" or anything else, just let me know in the comments and I'll upload a new version right away. To build this cryptex, you'll need: all letters x1 each closing ring x2 handle left top x1 handle left bottom x1 handle right top x1 handle right bottom x1 Unfortunately, I was unable to make both handles identical, but they're almost indistinguishable. Once you've printed all the necessary parts, you'll need to assemble them using glue. First, attach the "Closing Ring" to the "Handle Left Top," making sure the arrow points outward from the handle and just above the cut-out slot. Then, place the letters in the desired order and attach the final "Closing Ring" so that the arrow points toward the letters, just above the slot. Glue the ring to the tube. Finally, join the "Handles" together, right side to right side and left side to left side. Your cryptex should now be complete, and you can test if everything fits together nicely. Overview and Background I used the XYZ Printing DaVinci 1.0 printer to bring this design to life. It turned out well on excellent settings, but it did require some cleaning up after completion. For optimal results, I recommend using a high percentage of infill to ensure maximum rigidity and stiffness - this will make your cryptex strong and durable.
