The Pendulum Attachment for crutches features a simple construction and easy handling, with a pendulum-like design that holds a plate with a bottle or cup. We chose plastic for the holding tray and aluminum 6061 for the rest to keep weight low for the user. The attachment is positioned near the handhold for ease of balance. Only one crutch has the attachment, allowing users to place their weight on the other crutch while walking, reducing jerks and vibrations. It can be easily removed when not in use, with a spherical ball acting as the body's vertical downward force, like a pendulum.
