This pack features a collection of British and German deck guns, designed to aid modelers working on 3D prints for the 1/300th scale tabletop game Cruel Seas. Each gun rests on a sturdy 2mm thick base, necessitating a recess in the model's hull for mounting - they are not intended for surface installation. A minimum recess depth of 1mm is suggested. The larger guns - the German 88 and British S/A 6 pounder, as well as the 2 pounder QF - boast 9-inch diameter bases, requiring a recess of 9.25mm to accommodate them properly. In contrast, the smaller guns - the German single 20mm gun and its British counterparts, both single and twin 20mm - have 7mm diameter bases, necessitating a recess of 7.25mm in diameter to fit comfortably. These designs are tailored for filament printers, where oversized elements are necessary for successful printing at this scale. Some modelers have noted that the guns on my ships appear slightly chunky, potentially discouraging use with SLA printers. I prioritize durability and ease of printing when creating these small parts, often sacrificing fine details in the process. For optimal results, it is recommended to print at 0.06mm resolution ("extra fine" in Cura) and utilize supports whenever necessary.
