I opted for the Croydex Twist 'n' Lock due to the uncertainty surrounding my new bathroom tiles and I just loved how it turned out in the end! Given that the Twist 'n' Lock needs regular tightening every 6 months, I designed a new device that utilizes 3M Command Strips for semi-permanent mounting. Feedback is highly welcome and I'd be thrilled to hear your thoughts on its performance with other Croydex products - an untested feature as of now. I recently uploaded Version V3 with a longer thread but have struggled to print the thread due to its extremely fine nature; fortunately, the metal nut part does the trick. Printed at 0.2 layer height and 15% infill with 3 shells for added stability. If needed, follow these simple instructions: First, apply the Command Strip to your wall by securing it using a flat horizontal surface (oriented downwards). Now, remove all screws from the twisting mechanism of the Croydex holder until the adhesive falls off. Carefully slide the roll-holding component onto the provided thread and twist it securely with the metal part to cut through. Apply just the right amount of pressure so that the main body makes slight contact with your wall - for other items, use sticky pads for added stability if needed. The key to using Command Strips effectively is patience: apply the strip on the wall first, then wait for a few hours and reapply before placing your valued toilet paper holder on its new perch.
