We quickly realized the substantial weight and premium metal finish of these items as soon as we got our hands on them. Replicating such intricacy was no easy task for us. To get started, we carefully sliced each item into multiple pieces before bringing it to life with a Makerbot Replicator 2 3D printer. Once printed, we carefully assembled the pieces together using glue, sanded down any rough edges and applied a smooth layer of self-leveling epoxy that evenly coated the entire surface. After allowing the epoxy to dry completely, we finished the items off with a metallic paint that added an extra touch of sophistication.
