Crown Splitter Sword from Destiny 2. Wanted to design a sword that hadn't been done yet and loved the design of this sword. After several remodels and reprints, I finally had a design that worked. There are three different handle types available. Handle NH is a standard print that can be assembled with glue or any other suitable adhesive. Handle 2H has holes cut into its sides to accommodate two smaller pegs, similar to those found on Japanese swords. These pegs require precise assembly and should be printed solidly to prevent breakage. The metal core of the sword is designed for use with a metal rod, which can be purchased at any hardware store. This rod serves as a weight-enhancing element or adds stability to the overall build. A pre-drilled hole in the center allows for easy installation, and users are free to choose their preferred rod size by drilling a larger hole if needed. To ensure a solid print, the pegs should be printed with high infill settings, ideally above 60%. Conversely, the blade parts require less infill, typically around 20% or lower. This is crucial for maintaining the sword's balance and preventing cracks in the paint or glue when handling the two-handed design. The following printing settings are recommended: * Layer Height: 0.06 * Shell Thickness: 1.2 * Bottom/Top Thickness: 1.2 * Infill Settings: + Blade Parts: 20% or less + Handle NH: 40% or higher + Handle 2H: 40% or higher + Handle Metal Core: 40% or higher + Guards: 20% + Pommel Braces: 20% + Pegs: 60% or higher If you encounter any issues during printing, please leave a comment for assistance.
