Crown (Remix with built-in comb)

All the credit for this one goes to the original designer mjmedien on Thingiverse. All I did was to add a comb to it in order to make it stay on someone's head a little easier for my daughter's school skit.

The comb prints flat on the bed in order to get the best result. So far I haven't found a good solution for bending it to shape after the fact. Luckily it works as is. My thinking was to try a hair dryer, but the fine parts of the comb will melt and curl long before the bar part that needs to bend is malleable. So I would suggest seeing what more focused solution you can come up with if you chose to bend, and let me know if you do.

The crown itself did require some supports to ensure that the spheres on top didn't fail in the last minutes of the print. The bottom of the original crown design was not flat, so you'll also need supports to properly get the base started. Also, be aware that the comb can be fragile when removing it from the print bed.

Print instructions

Unassociated tags: princess crown, with comb

Category: Props Summary

All the credit for this one goes to the original designer mjmedien on Thingiverse.
