Rather than waiting for 3/8 carbon fiber, I opted to proceed with my current resources. Additionally, I encountered an issue where the skid supports were bending inward; thus, I added stops to rectify this problem. The solution has proven effective. Interestingly enough, it appears that the skid arms are more susceptible to breaking than the skids themselves. Concerning the printing process, I have successfully utilized 25% infill with PLA, which has met my requirements thus far.
