Crosscut Sled for Table Saw
grabcad
This table saw project features my crosscut sled for my basement workshop. Built before being modeled, it works effectively despite its considerable size and weight, which can be challenging to lift on and off the saw. However, once in place, it glides effortlessly. MDF was used due to availability and its low friction, enabling easy pushing and pulling while focusing on accurate cuts. The stop block is a homemade sheet metal bracket with a welded nut and knob for adjustability. I considered attaching a broken tape measure piece, but have not yet needed to do so. Notably, the slider construction uses adjusting screws to expand the track sides for a snug fit.
