I'm making this gadget as a toy to shoot bamboo skewers. Springs are coming for the trigger and string lock from within, crafted using twisted and reshaped binder clips. I'll be fashioning the string out of thick rubber or sturdy elastic. The entire thing will be glued solidly together.
