Crossbar dual E3D hot end upgrade for Mankati Fullscale XT
thingiverse
Update: Mounted directly on the crossbar for easier access. The final version will receive updates if/when necessary. Its shorter hot end mount enlarges build volume height. Easy one-minute swap design. Both fans face backward and are powered via spring contacts for hassle-free removal. Top features two screws to secure a PCB for wire organization, also quick-change ready. M3 nuts and screws used throughout. Assemble three parts: fan shroud (with included 30mm fans), main body (XY bushings, hotend, quick connect PCB), and brackets for E3D hotends. Attach spring-loaded contacts to the main body. Solder fan cables in parallel on the small FR4 PCBs mounted on the shroud. Follow manufacturer's instructions for assembling the hotend, then slide it into the body with bracket and screw attachment. Finish wiring at the top PCB to your preference. Consider replacing the Mankati PTFE Bowden tube with a better option and keep it short. Install fan shroud with the correct fan cable (always powered). Don't forget to print and install the longer Z end-stop holder upside down for extra height. Download the necessary firmware using new thermistors via the provided link, then flash from Cura. Always ensure your hotend cools down before shutting off the printer.
