Cross Trainer Tablet Stand
thingiverse
I wanted to watch stuff on my iPad while working out on the cross trainer, so I designed and built this custom stand to fit it! This might be a very specific thing, but maybe someone can find it useful. The cross trainer is a Domyos Essentials one: http://www.decathlon.co.uk/essential-cross-trainer-id_8349406.html I took full advantage of the Robox 3D printer's large build bed and positioned the stand diagonally to make it fit. The end caps on the cross trainer arms and the foam covering hold the stand in place. I also created round rings that could be attached to prevent the end caps from sitting at an angle, but didn't use them. I laser cut the front and back pieces from 3mm acrylic and glued them into the slots using super glue. I had to widen the slots by hand, so it might be a good idea to print them slightly wider. I chose 3.1mm, but something like 3.4mm would probably work better depending on the printer. Print Settings: Printer: Automaker Robox Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: Medium Infill: 20% Notes: Position the stand with the flat face down to get a nice curved top.
