Cross-Modal Transfer Task Shapes

Cross-modal transfer task from Roy et al. (2023). Each shape came up (remix) from aforementioned collections (excepted the following disabled user's collection: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:323113). They have been resized so they are all not bigger than a cube of 4 x 4 x 4 cm to be easily hold and palpated by children with a single hand. There were 12 target shapes and 12 distractor shapes for each 3 conditions and note that distractors for TV condition (that has never been touched by the subject) were reused as targets in VT condition bringing the total number of shapes to 60 for all ages (trials 1-12) and 24 supplementary shapes (4 more difficult extra trials in each condition; trials 13-16) are used for 16+ years old (not implemented yet in Roy et al., 2023). Shapes resizing have been performed using Chitubox and sharp corners softening and some more fragile shape's parts in molecules or proteins have been truncated using Meshmixer. Note that remaining sharp corners and ruggedness due to 3D printers have been hand polished. Shapes #1-60 can be printed both using filament or resin printers (the last offer better durability). Note that shapes #61-84 have been printed using a resin printer, which is highly recommanded due to their higher complexity. Shapes #79 and #80 had some glue dots to fasten some movable parts. The STL file title indicates first the condition (e.g. TT for Tactile-Tactile), the trial number (e.g. 03), its role (e.g. Target) and the color to print it (e.g. Green). Note that in trials 1-12, TV distractors become targets in VT condition and this is why they have double naming. For trials 13-16 in 16+ y.o., there is no reuse of shapes between conditions so some shapes not have to be printed. Pictures in .tif format to be displayed in TV condition are available in Things Files for download. Videos rendered from SOLIDWORKS for VT condition are available here: https://www.youtube.com/@lrnp-pnrl/playlists
