Cross Frame Anet A8 - Reinforced Joints
thingiverse
UPDATE: I fortified the dovetail joints because over time they're making micro-movements, now there are some openings for M3x18 screws. ORIGINAL VERSION: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3094600 I built this frame stabilizer which should work better than others, since it's based on triangles and secured with screws. It uses the LCD screws and the frame screws, so you won't need to make any holes, you'll only need 6 mm longer screws than the original ones because that is the frame thickness. This is an early version that I built to see if it works, its downside is it decreases the printable height to 18 cm in the lower sides (I made a version with no height limits, https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3096822), which isn't a problem for me since I don't print so high. You know what? It works!!! I can build a different version if you need to print over 18 cm or you can modify it yourself on Onshape.com. UPDATE: Published an Enlarged version of Cross Frame Anet A8 for those who need the whole printing height: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3096822 (working on a reinforced version of this too)
