Cross Country Ski Holder
thingiverse
I decided to tidy up my storage space at home and realized that my skis belonged on the wall, not leaning against something where they would constantly fall over. To achieve this, I created brackets specifically designed to fit over the narrower section of the ski, which is 1/2 inch or thinner in width. If your ski exceeds 68mm in width, it's likely that the bottom bracket won't slide into place without hitting the top bracket. I printed these brackets using Polymaker Polylight PLA with a moderate infill of 40%, along with 6 layers on both the top and bottom, and 4 outer layers for added stability. To ensure proper printing, lay the file flat on the print bed as it's intended in the STL design. Additionally, add supports to stabilize any overhanging sections. Secure the brackets to the wall using standard drywall or wood screws. I've also included a 12.7mm stand-off block that can be mounted between the bracket and the wall if you prefer your skis to hang off the wall slightly.
