Cross-Axis Flexural Hinge
thingiverse
The cross-axis flexural hinge is a type of hinge that relies on flexible components rather than sliding parts. As a result, it boasts zero backlash, exceptional stiffness in constrained directions, and virtually no friction during rotation. I've provided two design options: one that can be printed as distinct pieces and assembled using four M4 bolts, and another that can be printed in a single piece with support. The two-part version appears to function seamlessly up to just below 90 degrees.
