I bought a few spring powered BB pistols back in the day, with this Crosman PSM45 easily being my favorite. Great for backyard plinking without expense or having to worry about hurting anyone.

After a while, the feeding became unreliable, and I would notice the clip ejecting partially. It turns out the ~1mm ledge that holds the clip became a bit rounded.

I pulled out the part and drew this up after contact Crosman to find they didn't offer replacement parts. The part has a casting mark "S401-C4"

I'm posting the V4 and V7 ones here. V4 does work, but V7 holds even tighter and the button is more flush, so it's less likely to be ejected on accident.

V8 has the same design as V7, but the supports are a little further away for easier removal, and is recommended.

Print Settings

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

0.2

Infill:

any

Filament: any pla? black

Notes:

There are two manual supports in there. The one that resembles the Recognizer from Tron should rotate off, if the legs break off then pliers will be enough to twist off the support.
The groove for the spring has a small piece printed inside of it. I push from behind it with a needle to pry it out.
You must remove both supports. If there are rough edges you may clean them up so the part slides easily within the body. After a few uses I find it slides easier.

Post-Printing

To remove the old part, remove the two pins shown in diagram by pushing them through. Everything else comes apart with careful movements.

Reach in from the top of the pistol once the slide is removed, near the trigger you'll see a spring holding in the old part - compress it side to side and remove it, it's caught under a tab on the right side of the gun.

Slide the old button out the right hand side once the spring is removed, replace with the printed part, drop the spring into the slot on the printed part then rotate it, compressing it back behind the original tab.

Replace other parts and you should be in business. Happy plinking!

Category: Sport & Outdoors
