Crocodox3 (yet another split keyboard) with Matias/ALPS switches
thingiverse
This is a significantly improved version of the Crocodox 2. The case has been made considerably slimmer, allowing it to fit the wires and ProMicros perfectly. I have installed Matias linear switches with replaced springs (reduced from 35gf to 12gf). The most notable change was relocating the external columns higher up, making it easier for pinkies to reach them. The thumb cluster has been reduced to two keys; I discovered that the two innermost keys were largely unused. Additionally, its angle was adjusted slightly to minimize thumb movement. Unfortunately, the thumb cluster is now 2 mm too close to the lower row of keys, so I had to trim down the corner of one key cap. Overall, it appears to be a significant improvement over the original design. The Fusion model can be found at https://a360.co/31tOyC9. UPDATE: After two weeks of use, this has become my second favorite board, trailing only the Dactyl-Manuform. The modified Matias switches are far superior to Cherry MX-like alternatives.
