Crocodox Keyboard with Matias Switches
thingiverse
This is a Crocodox version using Matias switches. UPD: See a better version here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2965893. Fusion 360 models: - Case https://a360.co/2l1N1yO - Key caps https://a360.co/2JCaIM7 It looks like the original Crocodox but was designed from scratch. The thumbcluster got a lesser angle, and pinky columns are at a slightly different height. The case made higher after the first build - it was initially too tight for the USB cable. With a few millimeters of space, assembly should be easier. Other than that, the same idea of a compact split "ergonomic" board exists. A protective case is added - it's also used as the board base. UPD: A holster/stand for the board is added to protect key caps/switches from being caught and pulled out with backpack/jacket pocket fabric. In working position, it works as a tenting stand. Dips in the lip match foot pads of the board, holding it fairly well. See pictures for the idea. To transport the board, it slides over keys; the lip covers them. UPD2: The thumbcluster design turned out to be rather uncomfortable for prolonged use - it's too far. Combos involving raise/lower modifiers and pinky columns require fanning out the palm. This board is disassembled and a better version, Crocodox 2, is made: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2965893 This version is still good if one sits straight with hands/palms in ideal recommended position for typing. For slouched/relaxed pose, use the next version.
