Crocodox Keyboard (Kailh Choc switches) mk.II
thingiverse
This is a new version of the Crocodox keyboard with the Kailh Choc switches. It is a remix of the previous version: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4840523 I moved the pinkie columns a bit and swapped the way the top and bottoms are connected. Now the switches are put into a plate, which is goes into a tub. Otherwise the layout is the same as in previous version, I rebuilt it into this new one. This keyboard also could fit the Cherry MX switches, but the space inside is tight. Fusion 360 project: https://a360.co/3xurq5Y UPD: added a "leg rest", a holder to place the board on the thigh. UPD2: a bit of re-work: - added a version of the top plate "Plate Wells" that holds the switches better. - added a version of the bottom part that is (a) using mini-usb instead of USB-A, (b) having the audio connector and the reset button holes on the inner side, and (c) got a bit higher key border. That should prevent the laptop screen from hitting the connectors when the screen is moved into towards closed position. Overall keyboard height is about the same. The keys are sitting deeper, so the ProMicro controller had to be positioned with the chip-mounted side facing the switches. The switch mounting pins had to be cut short in order for the controller to fit in the remaining space. The key layout remains the same. I'd think this is the final form of this keyboard for now, I am actively using both versions of this keyboard with my desktop and my laptop (attached with Velcro strips to this platform: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3325796)
