This tool ensures consistent measurements for creating crochet octopi. It was initially designed to assist my wife in measuring and sizing when making crochet octopuses intended for premature babies. The original device was provided by the "Octopus for a preemie UK" group, which now produces and sells its own version to support their fundraising efforts. This tool measures dimensions based on those used by the UK group "Octopus for a preemie UK" as of April 2018. A layer height of 0.3mm is intended. If the Z height is too low, it may cause elephant's foot, resulting in poor fit or requiring cleaning.
