A cotton spool holder designed specifically for crocheting enthusiasts. Dimensions: Stand height: Approximately 15 centimeters Stand length: Ten centimeters Width of stand with rod: Seventeen centimeters Rod height from ground: Twelve centimeters Rod diameter: One and a half centimeters Rod cap diameter: Two centimeters Instructions: - The pieces included are the Stand (a T-shaped piece), leg piece, spool rod, and rod cap. - Print two of each stand, leg, and cap pieces. - Print one rod piece. Assembly: Attach the legs to the base by fitting them into the slots on the bottom. Press down gently on the stand so they fit tightly and the base doesn't wobble when placed on a flat surface. Rest the rod in the stand and glue the two end caps onto the rod while assembled. Slide the rod with caps through the spool, rest it back on the stand, and begin crocheting. Notes: - With the exception of the caps, the holder can be easily disassembled. The pieces (excluding the end caps for the rod) are designed to fit snugly together without the need for glue. - You may want to adjust the rotation of the rod to print it standing upright. This may take a bit longer but will result in a more attractive final product. - Adjusting the rotation of the stand to lay flat on the bed during printing is also recommended. Modeling it as standing upright, this modification eliminates the need for supports. Troubleshooting: I encountered issues with scaling after exporting from Blender and importing into the slicing program. Despite modeling in centimeters, some slicer programs converted them to millimeters instead. To resolve this, I scaled up the models in Blender. If you encounter massive models (like meters in size), simply scale them down by 90% of their original size to correct the dimensions listed above. Feedback is welcome and appreciated.
