Updated 5-20-2018 This is a Croatian egg lure, designed to float with the hook out of the water and excel in weedy or lily pad areas. The inverted hook floating above the waterline should allow it to skip over most vegetation without getting snagged. I've finally updated the design on this, removing all old files and only keeping the new ones. To improve the design, I moved the hook forward and used a shorter and lighter hook. These are the hooks I used for the new design - they're the only straight shank hooks I could find with a wire guard, so I incorporated this into the new design. The hook still requires some added extension. Each half holds 3 BB's and they're glued in before gluing the halves together. After gluing the halves together and giving it a quick sanding, the lure is ready to test. The new design now floats with the hook out of the water but needs to be tested under real fishing conditions.
