I've revised my design on Thingiverse https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4039133 - I've increased the size of the hole for the jack to accommodate right-angled cables and added some holes to fit in six underglow LEDs. While they're not as prominent against acrylic, on a white or reflective desk surface they should still be visible.
